I know firsthand how frustrating school picture day can be. As an educator, I endured the chaos every year: students lined up by height, marched to a noisy gym, and rushed through less than two minutes in front of a camera. The result? Photos that often fail to capture the personality and spirit of the kids I see in my classroom every day.

As a professional portrait photographer, I felt a responsibility to change this experience for children and their families. My goal is simple: when parents see their child’s photo, I want them to say, “That’s definitely my kid!”—not “Maybe we’ll order next year’s.”
